This is a non-commercial website. You are free to browse our Discovering Britain activities and download the activity resources for free. When out walking, you should adhere to the Countryside Code, which ensures that the public respect, protect and enjoy the countryside. The five main sections of the Code relating to members of the public are: a) be safe, plan ahead and follow any signs; b) leave gates and property as you find them; c) protect plants and animals and take your litter home; d) keep dogs under close control; and e) consider other people. Further details can be found at https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/the-countryside-code

Mapping

The digital maps on the website are licensed to RGS-IBG from Ordnance Survey. This licence permits RGS-IBG to grant you a perpetual, non-exclusive licence for the use (‘Your Use’) of the digital maps for your non-commercial personal purposes. The routes superimposed on the digital maps are the intellectual property of RGS-IBG. Your Use permits you to use the features and functions of the digital mapping on the website to browse the available activities. Your Use also allows you to save and print a route map for an individual walk as a PDF document provided in the ‘downloads’ tab. You must not copy, save or print the digital map data in any other way.
